As many standards like《Hong Kong International convention for the safe and environmentally sound recycling of ships,2009》, GB30981-2014《limit of harmful substances of anticorrosion coatings for construction steel structure》,CCS standard《guidelines for the ship material of the inventory of hazardous materials》and GB standard《limit of harmful substances of ship coatings》 set more stricter regulation for harmful substances in coatings, determination of harmful substances is now of great importance.
In our station, many advanced facilities such as Gas chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS), High Performance Liquid chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) and Ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (UV-VIS) are used for quantitative test of harmful substance in coatings, such as heavy metal, brominated flame retardants, halogenated compounds, benzene, toluene and so on.
